The CA-1a is RAAL-requisite's take on a closed-back design, built around their signature ultra-thin conductive ribbon driver rather than a conventional dynamic or planar element. This yields the same razor-fast transient response and extreme resolution the brand is known for, but with more isolation and a tighter, more contained low end suited to environments where open-back headphones aren't practical. Like all RAAL ribbon headphones, it requires a dedicated amplifier or transformer interface rather than a standard headphone output.
